Property Management

BillyGoat Mulching was founded as a property management company with one clear mission, to help landowners maintain and enjoy their large rural properties with confidence. We have the equipment, experience, and dedication to help you reach your goals. Whether that’s improving accessibility, increasing safety, or simply making your land more enjoyable.

One of our primary services is forestry mulching, because we know it’s often one of the most challenging aspects of maintaining wooded acreage. The wooded areas around your home can be some of the most beautiful and peaceful parts of rural living. However, without regular maintenance, thick underbrush, fallen trees, and fast-growing vegetation can quickly block trails and make it nearly impossible to walk through and truly enjoy your property.

Forestry mulching allows us to remove as much or as little vegetation as you’d like. We can open up walking paths, clear undergrowth, improve visibility, and create usable space, while preserving the natural beauty of your land. The result is a cleaner, more accessible property that’s easier to manage and far more enjoyable to explore.

Beyond aesthetics and access, proper land management also improves safety. Brush piles and downed trees create ideal shelter for small animals like mice and field rats. These, in turn, attract predators—including snakes. Snakes are drawn to areas where food and cover are abundant, and they often move between wooded edges and open fields or yards. In North Carolina, where multiple venomous snake species are present, reducing clutter and heavy brush near living areas can significantly decrease the likelihood of unwanted encounters.

By using a forestry mulcher to eliminate large brush piles and downed timber, we remove the shelter and ambush points these animals rely on. This encourages wildlife to relocate deeper into wooded areas, where natural habitats are better suited for them and interactions with people are less likely.

At BillyGoat Mulching, our goal is simple: help you take back control of your land, improve its safety and usability, and allow you to fully enjoy everything your property has to offer.
